Danilo E. Canonigo, a beloved son, brother, uncle, friend, and colleague, passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering dedication to those around him. A former monk and a proud member of Alpha Sigma Phi, Danilo exemplified integrity and selflessness throughout his life.
Danilo’s journey was marked by a deep commitment to family, friends, and community. He faced life’s challenges with resilience, always prioritising the well-being of others. His humility, discipline, and devotion were reflections of the virtues he embraced during his time as a monk, shaping a life of purpose, gratitude, and service.
His quiet strength and compassionate heart touched countless lives, serving as a beacon of wisdom and faith. Danilo’s enduring legacy will inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him, reminding us to live with love and grace.
He will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at RIOTTO FUNERAL HOME & Cremation Company, 3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd., Jersey City, NJ 07306 (For GPS Navigation, it is best to use our parking lot entrance address: 14 Stagg St., Jersey City). Friends and family are invited to gather for a final farewell at the funeral home the following day Saturday, November 23rd, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. Funeral mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. at St Aloysius Church, 691 West Side Ave, Jersey City, NJ 07304. Cremation Will Be Private.
