Denise Padelski

Denise Padelski, 64, of Jersey City, passed away surrounded by her loving family. Born in Jersey City to the late Pasquale and Louise Cioffi, Denise was a lifelong resident who embraced life with joy, laughter, and an unwavering love for family and friends.

Denise worked for twelve years at CareOne nursing home in Hackensack, NJ, where she was known for her dedication and warm spirit. A true life of the party, she brought light and laughter wherever she went. She cherished traveling, especially to Aruba, where she would soak in breathtaking sunsets, and she proudly upheld family traditions with Thanksgiving being one of her favorite celebrations.

Denise is survived by her beloved husband, Steven Padelski; her loving sons, Luke Padelski, Steven Padelski and his wife Christine; her dear brother, John Burke and his wife Laura; her sister-in-law, Carol and her brother-in-law, Santino Occhiuzzi; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Leo “Kookie” Burke and her parents, Pasquale and Louise Cioffi.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 18, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Riotto Funeral Home & Cremation Company, 3205 Kennedy Blvd., Jersey City. The funeral will be on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the funeral home, followed by an 11:00 AM Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 99 Broadway, Jersey City.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the many relatives and friends who cared for Denise over the years, as well as to the compassionate staff of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York.
