Deonarain Kaulessar

Deonarain Kaulessar, also known as Mohan, age 86, of Jersey City; formerly of Grove Village, EBD, Guyana; entered into eternal rest on Friday, May 10, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was an avid watcher of Jeopardy, and listening to the news.  His family would remember him as always watching Channel 7.  He loved his birds, listening to music, and spending time with his family, friends, and bird friends at home.  

Deonarain is the beloved husband of the late, Elsie; cherished father of Paul and his spouse Dolly, Pearlie and her spouse Ram, Shirley and her spouse Kevin, Indy and her spouse Larry, Peter, and Patrick; treasured grandfather of Amanda, Melissa, Kyle, Brian, Ariana, Paul Ryan, Randy, Lauren, Eric, Julissa, and Valerie; beloved great-grandfather of Casper, Mila, Felix, and Emmy.  He is also survived by his many loving siblings, nieces, and nephews.  He is also survived by his pet parrot, Roberto.  

Visitation is Sunday, May 12th, 2024 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Riotto Funeral Home & Cremation Company, 3205 Kennedy Blvd. Jersey City. (For GPS navigation, it is best to use our parking lot address: 14 Stagg Street).  Funeral is Monday, May 13th, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.  Cremation will follow at Rosedale Crematory, 408 Orange Road, Montclair, NJ.
