Diane Friscia, age 63 of Toms River, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2019. She was born in Jersey City to Carmela Palladino on August 22, 1955. Diane was proud to be born and raised in the Marion Section of Jersey City. Before her retirement, she spent her career as a Food and Beverage Director and the owner of Nino’s Restaurant in Bayonne. Despite her busy life, family always came first to her. She loved spending time with her husband, being an amazing Gaga to her grandchildren, hosting holidays, camping with family, and being with friends.
Diane was married to her loving and devoted husband of 15 years, Joseph Friscia. She was the cherished mother to Nicole Nardone McClay (Kevin McClay) with the late Rudolph Nardone, Jeannine Farber (Steven Farber), Jamie Herr (Joseph Herr), Jackie Fahrion (Jimmy Fahrion) and Jessi De Stefano (Stephen De Stefano) with Joseph Friscia. Diane
was the devoted Gaga to 10 grandchildren, Jayson, Rebecca, Andrew, Jordan, Logan, Henry, Josephine, Dorothy, James and Brayden. She was the loving sister of Laurie Olivari (John Olivari), Ann Flesta (Robert Flesta), Bernadette Citarella (Vincent Citarella), Kiki Ahimovic (Thomas Ahimovic), and the late Linda Brown (John Brown).
She is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends including her longest friend and supporter Laura Burke. Diane was predeceased by her late husbands Rudolph Nardone and Leslie Smith. She was the loving daughter-in-law to the late Ida Manna. Sister-in-law to John Nardone (Mary Nardone), the late Joseph Nardone, and Lori Sangiovanni.
Diane’s life was filled with hope, promise and love. She lit up our lives with her love, her laughter and her generous spirit. We will love her and will miss her forever.
Visitation for Diane will be on Monday, August 5, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Riotto Funeral Home & Cremation Company (For GPS Navigation it is best to use parking lot
entrance address: 14 Stagg St.), Jersey City. Funeral will begin on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will follow, 12:00 PM at Our Lady of Mt.
Carmel Church, Jersey City. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Diane to support the Lung Cancer Translational Center of Excellence at Penn Medicine’s Abramson Cancer Center:
