Dolores Francisca “Dolly” Bustamante Tolentino, 79, of Jersey City, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on April 2, 1946 in Tiaong, Quezon Province, Philippines to the late Vicente Ramos Bustamante and Teresita Recto Bustamante.
Dolores grew up in Tiaong, Quezon, and pursued her education in Manila, graduating from Saint Scholastica College with a Bachelor of Arts in Secretarial Studies. In 1973, she migrated to the United States, where she settled in Jersey City and built a beautiful life with her family. Through dedication and grace, she rose through the ranks at Republic National Bank, where she proudly served as Assistant Vice President, which is a reflection of her strong work ethic and quiet determination.
A true fashionista, Dolores was admired by her nieces and loved ones for her impeccable sense of style and sophistication. She found joy in traveling, dining out, especially enjoying Filipino cuisine, and, of course, indulging her love for shopping. Beneath her elegance was a kind and gentle soul, known for her calm and quiet demeanor, warm heart, and gentle and reserved nature.
Dolores is survived by her beloved husband, Ramon P. Tolentino, and their cherished son, Raymond Timothy B. Tolentino. She is also survived by her dear siblings Patricia V. Bustamante, Consuelo Stephan-Rious, Ignacio Bustamante, Regina Reuter, Josefina Fernandez, Estella Linsangan, Mary Anne Schaefer, and Crispin Bustamante, along with numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews who adored her deeply. She was predeceased by her loving parents, Vicente and Teresita Bustamante, and her brother Jose Leoncio R. Bustamante.
