Dr. Susanne Breckwoldt, PhD

Dr. Susanne Breckwoldt, PhD, 67, of Cresskill passed away peacefully after a courageous battle for 37 years with MS on December 13, 2020. Born in Hamburg, Germany, she immigrated to the U.S. in the 1960's with her late parents, Alexander and Christine Breckwoldt. She was a clinical psychologist in Bergen County and earned a Masters in Psychology and a PhD even though she courageously battled MS for 37 years.   She loved her work and putting others first. She was a member of the Lutheran Church.  She loved meeting new people and loved animals. 

She is survived by her loving brother of Mark Breckwoldt CPA and his wife Michele Barone of Greenwood, DE.  It was her wish to be cremated and inurned next to her mother, Christine at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus at the direction of Riotto Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Jersey City.  A Memorial Gathering will be announced at a later date. Close friends and colleagues will be notified.  Memorial donations may be made in memory of Susanne to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (https://www.nationalmssociety.org/) so that we may one day find a cure for this horrific disease.
