Edgardo M. Olvina, 79, of Jersey City, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Ed was a humble and intelligent man, known for his great sense of humor and love of dancing. He was a man of few words, always moving at his own pace while imparting valuable lessons with wisdom. Devoted to his family, Ed provided for them and taught them to live by the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ. He embodied love and forgiveness in every aspect of his life and was always ready to offer guidance and solutions to any problem. Ed was ever willing to lend a helping hand and generously gave to those in need without expecting anything in return.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Maria Dolores “Oyette” Cacho; his loving sons, Gary and his wife Maria Elena, and Glen and his wife Cynthia; and his cherished grandsons, Justin, Jaiden, Aidan, and Marquez. He is also survived by his caring siblings, Myrna, Lorna, Rene, Robert, and Ruduel, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Riotto Funeral Home (for GPS, please use our parking lot address: 14 Stagg Street, Jersey City, NJ 07306).
