Edilberto Ocampo 86, of Jersey City, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 03, 2024. Edilberto Ocampo of Jersey City passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at Jersey City Medical Center while surrounded by the love of his family.
Born in the Philippines, Edilberto came to the United States in 1976 with his wife and three children, eventually settling in Jersey City where he has since remained. He attended the University of the Philippines and received his B.S. in Economics.
His wife Lydia Ocampo passed away in 2015. Together they raised four of their grandchildren. His love and concern for them kept him going. He was a communicant of Saint Aedan’s Church, and later, with Jesus is Lord Church, where he met Valentina whom he married in 2021.
Edilberto is survived by his loving children, Magnolia Ocampo, Louisito Ocampo and his wife Jonna and Hasmin Ocampo; brother Emmanuel Ocampo; grandchildren, Caresse and her husband Christopher Cid, Kyle, Kailen, Loren, Morgan and Madison Ocampo; great grandsons Caleb and Chase Cid; wife, Valentina.
Visitation will be held at Riotto Funeral Home, 3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd. Jersey City on Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 2pm – 6pm. (For GPS navigation it is best to use our parking lot address: 14 Stagg Street). Cremation will be private.
