Elizabeth Sadie Amorino Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth “Sadie” Amorino, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who departed this life on September 17, 2025, at the age of 93. Born on February 29, 1932, in Jersey City, NJ, Sadie spent her life in the Marion Section, where she created enduring memories filled with love and laughter.

Sadie was the cherished wife of the late Samuel Amorino Sr. and a devoted mother to four children: Elizabeth DeQuatro (husband Gene), Samuel Amorino Jr., Candace Amorino (husband David), and the late Joseph Amorino (partner Robert). She was also predeceased by her dear sister Angie Taite and brothers Louie and George Taite. Sadie's legacy includes her cherished grandchildren: Gene, Samantha, Jacqueline, and Joseph, as well as her beloved nieces and nephews.

Sadie will be lovingly remembered for her incredible strength and selflessness. She dedicated her life to caring for her family and those close to her, embodying the spirit of compassion.

She found joy in cooking, tending to her house and garden, and indulging in her favorite pastime—playing Joker Poker Slots in Atlantic City. Her esteemed Christmas Eve seafood dinners, featuring her famous “crab sauce,” were not just meals; they were treasured family traditions that brought everyone together in joyous celebration for decades.

Funeral will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, with a visitation service starting at 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Riotto Funeral Home & Cremation Company, 3205 John F.
