Elysa Marie Potocki

Elysa Marie Potocki, 52, passed away on July 29, 2026, leaving behind a family who loved her deeply and will miss her beyond words.

Born on April 17, 1974, Elysa was a loving and devoted mother whose greatest joy was her two sons, Manny Lazo and Matthew Santiago. She loved them with all her heart and was incredibly proud of the men they became. She also shared a special and loving bond with her daughter-in-law, Giselle Monterroso, whom she cherished as part of her family.

Elysa is survived by her loving mother, Diane E. Potocki; her significant other, Dennis Schwerdtfeger; and her many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Samuel and Anne Wilkins; her brother, John J. Potocki Jr.; and her beloved nephew, John J. Potocki III.

Elysa found happiness in life’s simple and beautiful moments. She loved watching the sunset and admiring the colors that filled the sky. She was a passionate fan of the New York Yankees, New York Giants, and Boston Celtics. She enjoyed pampering herself, sipping her favorite 7-Eleven tea, and making sure everything around her was clean, comfortable, and just the way she liked it.

Elysa’s love, personality, and presence brought warmth to the lives of those around her. Although her passing leaves an emptiness that can never be filled, the love she gave and the memories she created will live on forever through her family and all those fortunate enough to have known her.
