Emerita Valle, 85, of Bayonne, NJ passed away on Monday, July 28, 2025.

Emerita Valle was born on September 23, 1939, in Guayama, Puerto Rico, where her life began surrounded by faith, family, and love. Family was always at the heart of everything she did. It was family that brought her to New Jersey, following her beloved sister Esther, who had moved there to have a better future. Not long after, Emerita found a love of her own in Guillermo Caballero; she had 4 kids, 9 grandkids & 3 great grandkids. Together, they built a home filled with faith, laughter, and deep devotion. Emerita lived a life anchored in prayer and service. Prayer wasn’t just part of her day—it was the essence of who she was. She prayed constantly for her children, grandchildren, friends, and even strangers. She gently reminded all who knew her that God was coming soon and encouraged everyone to make peace with the Lord. She found great joy in cooking, especially for her grandchildren. If someone requested a dish, Emerita would joyfully jump up and prepare it with love. Her happiest moments were spent in the kitchen, caring for her family, or playing her favorite computer games in the quiet moments between prayer and worship. Emerita was dependable, selfless, and strong. She loved with intensity and gave without hesitation. If someone she cared about was in need, she would take the very clothes off her back. Her unwavering strength, deep faith, and endless love held her family together through every season. Above all else, Emerita loved God. Church wasn’t just a weekly routine—it was woven into her identity. Her faith shaped every part of her life, and she poured that faith into her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She didn’t just leave memories; she left a spiritual legacy that will echo through generations. Emerita was the glue of her family. Her absence is felt deeply, but her spirit lives on in every whispered prayer, every shared meal, and every act of kindness passed on in her name. The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Claribel Herrera. More than just a caregiver, Claribel became family. With compassion, patience, and unwavering love, she stood by Emerita’s side through good days and difficult ones. We are forever grateful for the way she cared for her with such grace until the very end. As we remember and celebrate the life of Emerita Valle, we hold close the strength of her love, the power of her prayers, and the legacy of her unshakable faith. She taught us to lean on God, to love deeply, and to serve without hesitation. Her life was a living testimony to God’s goodness and faithfulness. Though our hearts are heavy, we find peace knowing that she is now resting in the presence of the One she loved most—her Savior. Her race is complete. Her prayers have been answered. Her reward is eternal. “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” — 2 Timothy 4:7 We will carry your faith with us. We will love like you loved with all our hearts.. until we meet again

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Riotto Funeral Home (For GPS, please use our parking lot address: 14 Stagg Street, Jersey City, NJ 07306.) Funeral services will take place on Friday, August 1 2025, at 10:00 AM at the funeral home 11:00 AM at Holy Name Cemetery  Jersey City, NJ
