Eva Burke

Eva Burke, 96, of Jersey City, NJ passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 5, 2020.  She was born in Stroudsberg, PA to the late George and Anna Klembara.  She was a lifelong resident of Jersey City and worked for American Can Company for many years before retiring.  She will always be remembered by her family for her funny and kindhearted personality.  Eva enjoyed playing Bingo at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Jersey City; and she also took pleasure in keeping her home tidy. 

Eva is survived by her devoted daughter, Deborah Sebastiano (Nick) and her caring son, Maurice Burke; her loving grandchildren, Jennifer and her husband Sammy Gracia, Debra and her husband Aldy Reyes, and Frank; by her cherished great-grandchildren, Jacob, Justin, and Jaida.  She is predeceased by her parents, her siblings, her grandson, John J. Burke, and her great-grandson, Mark Burke. 

Visitation is Saturday, February 8, 2020 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Riotto Funeral Home & Cremation Company, 3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd. Jersey City. (For GPS navigation, it is best to use our parking lot address: 14 Stagg Street).   A prayer service will be offered during the visitation.  Cremation is private.  In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in honor of Eva to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (https://give.bcrf.org/) and to St. Jude’s Children Hospital (www.stjude.org).
