Evelyn Cassidy-Asevero

Evelyn Cassidy-Asevero, 56, of Bloomfield, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, July 14, 2021. 

Evelyn was born in Trinidad on December 18, 1964, and lived there before emigrating to the United States in 1996. 

She was employed by Montclair State University where she worked as a secretary and pursued her BS in Finance and Economics. She was a dedicated member of the Jersey City Heights, Seventh Day Adventist Church where she served the community and helped those in need. 

Evelyn was predeceased by her Father, Sydney Cassidy, and her sister Corina. Surviving is her beloved mother, Ancilla Cassidy. Her loving sisters, Drucilla, Catherine, Marlene, and Eva. Also surviving are many cherished nieces, nephews, family members and friends. 

Visitation is Sunday, July 18, 2021, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A religious service will be held during the visitation hours. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Evelyn's name to the Jersey City Heights Seventh Day Adventist Church for donations towards feeding the homeless.
