Evelyn A Heatter

Evelyn (Ezzie) A. Heatter, 91, of Jersey City, formerly of Moscow, PA passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, September 13, 2020.  She enjoyed doing cross- stitch and crossword puzzles.  She took pleasure in dressing up for the holidays.  Her family will always remember her sitting in her chair looking out the window being known as the “Window Watcher."  In her younger years, she worked as a jeweler setting precious stones and gems in many of her beautiful and creative works.  She was passionate about spending time and making memories with her family.

Evelyn is survived by her children, William H. Heatter Jr. and his loving spouse, Evelyn (Tuy); Mary L. Black, Shirley A. Stanton and her loving spouse, Alexander T. Stanton Sr.; Michael E. Heatter and his loving spouse, Elizabeth Heatter.  She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 3 great great-children, and by her many caring nieces and nephews.  Evelyn is predeceased in life by her parents, John and Margaret (nee Wich) Green; her husband, William H. Heatter Sr.; by her 9 siblings, and her son-in-law, Vincent Black.

Visitation is Friday, September 18, 2020 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Riotto Funeral Home & Cremation Company, 3205 Kennedy Blvd. Jersey City.  (For GPS Navigation, it is best to use our parking lot address: 14 Stagg Street).  Interment will follow at Crest Haven Memorial Park, Clifton, NJ.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of Evelyn to the Amedisys Foundation, 3854 American Way, Suite A, Baton Rouge, LA 70816.
