Georgios Tserotas, 93, of Jersey City; entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 9, 2022. He was born in Georgitsi, Greece to his late parents, Panagiotis and Chysoula. He immigrated to the United States in November 25, 1972 with his loving wife, Vasiliki and his daughter, Pota. He was a parishioner for 49 years of Evangelismos Greek Orthodox Church, Jersey City. After settling in New Jersey with his family, he worked for a Propane Company in Newark filling tanks for about 28 years to support his family. He enjoyed watching wrestling with his grandsons, and being outdoors. He loved spending time at his second home in Randolph, New Jersey on the weekends by working outdoors, trimming his trees, and working in his garden with his son in law, Yianni. His daughters and grandchildren will remember him for being the nicest daddy and grandfather ever. He will be very missed.
Georgios is survived by his loving wife, Vasiliki; his caring children, Christina, Pota and her spouse, Yianni; and Panagiotis; his cherished 7 grandchildren; his beloved 11 great-children; by his 3 siblings; and by his many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation is Thursday January 13, 2022 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Evangelismos Greek Orthodox Church, 661 Montgomery Street, Jersey City. Mass services will immediately follow after visitation. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Lyndhurst. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations can be made in Georgios' memory to the Evangelismos Greek Orthodox Church, Jersey City.
