In Loving Memory of Joan Claire Davidson
Joan Claire Davidson, a devoted Christian, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. Born in Trinidad & Tobago to Olga Nunes and John Davidson, Joan grew up in the West Indies and carried the vibrant spirit of her heritage throughout her life.
In 1968, Joan migrated to the United States, where she began a new chapter with strength, faith, and determination. She earned her Associate’s Degree from Brooklyn College and built a fulfilling career, working first at the AT&T phone company and later dedicating over three decades to Chase.
Joan had a natural talent for sewing and coloring and found joy in writing poems. Her creativity was matched by her deep faith. A humble woman strong in spirit, Joan was a devout Christian who loved God and reflected that love in every interaction—with her family, her church community, and all who had the privilege of meeting her.
She is survived by her loving son, Paul Davidson, and by her cherished grandchildren, Justina, Andrew, and Abigail Davidson. She now reunites in eternity with her siblings: Stanley Nunes, Carl Nunes, Desmond Nunes, Marjorie Nunes, and Lloyd Davidson.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to all relatives and friends for their unwavering love and support. Special appreciation is given to the compassionate doctors and nurses at Christ Hospital, and to the caring staff at Peace Care St. Joseph’s, whose efforts were deeply appreciated.
Joan's life was a testament to faith, family, and love. She will be remembered with gratitude and missed with immeasurable affection.
