John Oeckel

John Oeckel, 58, of Secaucus, formerly of Jersey City, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2020. He was raised in Secaucus and proud to be part of the Secaucus "Back Road" group of friends. He worked as a union staging employee for American Furniture Rental in Secaucus.

John is survived by his nephew, Anthony Grisi, uncle, Ray Addvensky and his brother-in-law, James Grisi.  Also, his friends Joe Toker and  his Back Road buddies, Mooch and Red.
John is predeceased in life by his parents, Alfred and Dorothy (Addvensky) Flynn, his brother, Thomas, his sister Doreen Grisi and his long time companion Eileen Robinson.

Cremation was held privately. A memorial service will be held in John's honor on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.  (For GPS navigation, it is best to use our parking lot: 14 Stagg Street).
