John served honorably in the United States Air Force. John retired from the United States Post Office and continued to enjoy his many family gatherings for his remaining years. John never failed to send birthday greetings, on time, and Christmas cards to each and every single one in his large family. He lived almost all of his 90 years in the house where he was born.  His memories and roots were deeply planted in his beloved home in Jersey City.
