Jose L. Rodriguez, 72, of North Arlington, NJ, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on December 23, 1952, in Brooklyn, NY, Jose was the beloved son of the late Marciano Rodriguez and Carmen Delgado Ortiz.
Jose, also known as Louie, spent most of his life in Jersey City, NJ, where he built a life rooted in hard work, family, and adventure. A proud owner-operator in the trucking industry, Jose drove over one million miles throughout his career—traveling across the country and embracing the open road. His commitment to his work was matched only by his love for his family.
He was a devoted husband to his late wife, Clarisa Hornedo Rodriguez, who passed away on June 13, 2023. Together, they raised two daughters who survive him: Candice Rodriguez-Laboy, married to Leonardo Laboy, and Clarice Rodriguez-Queijo, married to Ricardo Queijo. He was a cherished grandfather to Cayla, Oscar, and Lilliana Laboy, and to Lourdes Queijo.
Jose was known for his deep love of motorcycles, classic cars, and music of all genres. He found freedom on two wheels and joy in the rumble of a well-built engine. A proud patriot, Jose lived with integrity, grit, and humility. His strength, kindness, and unwavering loyalty were the cornerstones of his character. He was a rock for many, a reliable and loving father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He leaves behind a large extended family, including many nieces and nephews who adored him and were inspired by his example.
The Rodriguez family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks for the outpouring of love and support from relatives, lifelong friends, and especially the local Motorcycle Clubs. Your presence during his final procession was deeply felt—and we know Jose was proud to take his last ride surrounded by the roar of bikes and brotherhood he so deeply loved.
Jose’s legacy of love, strength, and loyalty will live on in all who knew him. May he ride in peace.
