Joselito “Lito” Bongco, age 66, passed away peacefully at Jersey City Medical Center due to complications of End Stage Renal Disease and Congestive Heart Failure.
Born on December 24, 1957 to the late Luz Guzman Bongco and the late Jose Bongco in the Philippines, he was the oldest of three. He graduated with a Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering, and went on to work as a Programmer Analyst where he met his wife of 38 years, Cheryl Ancheta Bongco. He worked abroad and lived in Saudi Arabia for 5 years before emigrating and settling in the US. An incredibly devout Catholic, he participated in many religious groups such as Couples for Christ and Mother of the Eucharist; and even started a prayer group with friends. He loved all things computers and tinkering with DIY projects, especially if it meant going to Microcenter or Harbor Freight Tools with his friends.
He is survived by his wife; his only daughter, Kathleen Anne Bongco; and his two siblings, Marilu Bongco Limon, and Ireneo “Ernie” Bongco.
