Born November 8, 1940 in Jersey City,NJ
Parents, father Emil Jacobsen, mother Lucille Jacobsen both deceased.
Survived by her sons Glenn, Gary, Timothy and Brian Lockwood and her daughter Lori Rybicki. Her daughter in laws Dottie, Teresa, Shaka and Lori (deceased) and Son in law Robert. Grandchildren Joey, Amy, Julie,Jamie, Karissa, Kevin, Timothy, Jaclyn and Caroline.
Predeceased by her husband of 44 years Charles Lockwood, her brothers Gerard Jacobsen and James Jacobsen and her special friends Judy Stroz and Ethel Sekelsky.
Joyce was born and raised in Jersey City. She retired and moved to Absecon, NJ and spent her last two years with her daughter and son in law in Blairstown, NJ.
Joyce worked for 24 years for the Hudson County Court Administrator and loved the people she worked with. When not watching Jordan Spieth her favorite golfer, she most enjoyed having a cup of coffee or even better a glass of wine with her many friends and family members.
A special thanks to the caregivers and hospice nurses for the compassion and care provided to mom when needed.

Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 511 Pavonia Ave, Jersey City, NJ 07306. Cremation will be private.
