Once upon a time, on August twenty third, ninety eighty, a legend was born. In our world it was a little dark. The trees bore no fruits, and the flowers didn't blossom. As for the sounds, it was the sounds of silence. Then this legend that was born brought light to the world. The trees became fruitful, the flowers blossomed, and silence was no more. The birds orchestrated a wonderful song. Everywhere he went, he brought laughter and joy. He wore on his face a compassionate ever lasting smile that was contagious bringing a sense of warmth and happiness to whomever he touched. He was a hero that was always there for family and friends. No matter how hard the job or situation, he risked it all and put his life on the line for all. This legend is loved and appreciated by us all. He is the true definition of family, friendship and love, always having time for all of us at once. Today and forever this legend brings light to this world. In the mornings, when we wake, the birds remind us of his loving, contagious smile with their songs. They call out his name. Juan Gabriel Rivera - Cortes. Now and forever, his legend lives on.
