Juan Alberto Juri

To know my Dad was to love him.

Juan Alberto Juri also known to all as "Pontoni," 81, of Jersey City; formerly of Mendoza, Argentina; passed away unexpectedly yet comfortably on Thursday, May 13, 2021.  

Juan is the beloved husband of Clara Juri; the devoted father of Isabel and Marcelo Juri; loving son to the late, Alberto and Filomena; and loving grandfather of Ayla. Pontoni was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and most importantly a devoted human being to all. He dedicated his life to serving. He served his family, his community and the less fortunate. As a Patriarch, Pontoni led gently with humility. He instilled hope; imparted wisdom and never faltered with his infectious sense of humor. As a young man, he was a gifted Futbol player and that is where the nickname Pontoni was born throughout the community. He held steadfast onto God and his Faith.  He created his own legacy without even knowing it.

Viewing is Wednesday, May 19, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Riotto Funeral Home & Cremation Company, 3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd., Jersey City (For GPS Navigation, it is best to use our parking lot address: 14 Stagg Street). Funeral Mass is Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul of the Cross Church, 156 Hancock Ave, Jersey City, NJ 07307. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Road,  North Arlington.

Juan Alberto Juri también conocido por todos como "Pontoni", de 81 años, de Jersey City; Ex de Mendoza, Argentina; falleció inesperadamente pero cómodamente el jueves 13 de mayo de 2021.

Juan es el amado esposo de Clara Juri; el devoto padre de Isabel y Marcelo Juri; hijo cariñoso del difunto Alberto y Filomena; y amoroso abuelo de Ayla. Pontoni fue un devoto hijo, esposo, padre, abuelo, tío y, lo que es más importante, un ser humano dedicado a todos. Dedicó su vida a su familia, su comunidad y al servicio de los menos afortunados. Como Patriarca, Pontoni dirigió gentilmente con humildad. Infundió esperanza; impartía sabiduría y nunca flaqueaba con su contagioso sentido del humor. Cuando era joven, era un talentoso jugador de fútbol y ahí nació el apodo de Pontoni en toda la comunidad. Se mantuvo firme en su fe y en Dios. Creó su propio legado sin siquiera saberlo.
