Juana Antonia Martinez

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of our lovely mother, Juana A Martinez, 93, in Jersey City, New Jersey on August 30th, 2026. She was born on May 31st, 1933 in Dominican Republic.

Juana was a devoted mother. Who had an enormous heart, very giving, and delightful. She enjoyed cooking, music, and dancing. Opened her home to anyone she encountered and received them with open arms. She loved the holidays and family get-togethers; any chance to spend time with her family was important to her. She would spend hours cooking and preparing for her company. She will be remembered for her strength, missed by many, and never forgotten.

Juana was predeceased by her husband, Pedro Pablo Martinez (Don Pablito). She is survived by her 7 loving children, Felix, Mariano, Pedro, Pablo Rafael, Gregorina, Reyna, and Pura Ivelisse. Her sister; America (Dona Cucha); 27 grandchildren and 47 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Riotto Funeral Home & Cremation Company, 3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd., Jersey City, NJ, 07306 (For GPS it is best to use our parking lot address: 14 Stagg St., additional parking can be found on Kennedy Blvd.) Funeral will begin Thursday, September 3, 2026, 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Followed by a 11:00 a.m. entombment at Hollywood Cemetery, 1500 Stuyvesant Ave., Union, NJ 07083.
