Julie Lynn Reimer, aged 68, of Lafayette, Colorado, entered into the presence of our Lord on Sunday, August 4th, 2024 in Hoboken, NJ.
Born on November 9, 1955 in Boulder, Julie was not only a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, but also a courageous breast cancer survivor. Her resilience in the face of adversity was always an inspiration to those who knew her.
She married her husband and partner in mischief, Stephen Reimer, and together they embarked on 45 years of adventures. Their son, Anthony and his wife, Dana, gave her the titles of "Mom" and "Mother-in-law," and later “Grammy.” Being grandmother to Calla and Hunter was perhaps the one she held most dear, showering them with love, presents and adoration at every opportunity.
A lifelong fan of the CU Buffs and Denver Broncos, Julie also enjoyed exploring new places, savoring good food (especially anything with chocolate) and the occasional game of Candy Crush on her iPad. Her love for Motown and 50s music could often be heard filling the rooms of her home and car. Julie's laughter was infectious, and her commitment to her family was unwavering. She also had a special bond with her dog, Max (aka her second son).
Julie dedicated many years of service to the Boulder Valley School District before retiring, a career that highlighted her commitment to education and the well-being of others. Her faith was also a cornerstone of her life; she reaffirmed her trust in God and was baptized at Hoboken Grace Community Church on May 29th, 2016. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and loyalty that will forever be cherished by her survivors: her husband, Stephen; her son, Anthony and his wife, Dana; her grandchildren, Calla and Hunter; her brother, George Villegas and his wife, Stephanie; and her sister, Christine Garcia. Julie was preceded in death by her parents, Betty and George Villegas.
Julie's life will be celebrated at a Celebration of Life Service at Hoboken Grace Community Church in Hoboken, NJ on Sunday, August 11th at 4:00 PM. If you cannot attend in person, you may attend virtually by heading to https://live.hobokengrace.com/
There will also be a Graveside ceremony at Lafayette Cemetery in Lafayette, Colorado on Wednesday, August 14th at 11:00 AM.
Flowers and messages of condolence may be sent to Hoboken Grace Community Church (409 14th Street Hoboken, NJ 07030).
