Katharina Marie Labbao

     Katharina Marie Gonzales Labbao of Jersey City, NJ passed away from unknown, non-COVID related, health complications on Monday, May 6th, 2020 at the age of 21.

     Katharina was well known to others as Inah. Even though she was born with down syndrome, her family saw her like any other girl and was treated fairly like the way she wanted. Inah had a very strong admirable personality, She was strong-willed; yet, had an impeccable ability to be understanding and loving. 

      Ina was a senior at James J. Ferris High School who was looking forward to attending her class prom and graduating with her classmates. During her time at Ferris High School, she made many friends. She was loved by all her teachers and classmates. 

       When Ina was not in school, she spent most of her time with her mother. They often ran errands together. She would keep her mom company while doing errands. She would even babysit her baby sister. In her free time, she would spend hours on Facebook dreaming about her future self, writing journal entries about her day, love interests, or concerns. She loved watching romantic love stories too. She would even take up the microphone and sing songs.

     Inah saw that her family was her top priority. Inah would invite her family to attend her birthday months in advance with plans. Birthdays were her favorite holiday, not only for her own birthday but for all the family members and friends. Inah managed to memorize everyone's birthday and would proudly wish her family a Happy Birthday. At family parties, Ina's personality always brightened the room. Spending time with her family meant a great deal to her.

     She leaves behind her parents Katrina and Ronald, sibling’s Mea-Rica, Klein, and Bria. Inah will be forever remembered by her lolo Amado and lola Fe Gonzales, Aunt’s Mona-Liza, Marie Angelie, and Falgie, and Uncle’s Sergei and Rey.

     Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic and CDC guidelines, visitation in the funeral home is private.
