Kristina Marie Villanueva

Kristina Marie “Kring” Santiago Villanueva, age 36, of Jersey City, New Jersey, passed away on March 21, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on January 7, 1990, in Baliuag, Bulacan, Philippines, Kristina was the beloved daughter of Benjamin and Purita Villanueva. She will be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and the deep love she had for those around her. Kristina had a natural gift for connecting with people—her warm and charming personality allowed her to make others feel comfortable and at ease, no matter the setting. She had a beautiful ability to adapt to those around her, which made her deeply loved by family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

She was known as the family’s go-to person for help and guidance—whether it was solving a problem, navigating technology, or simply being there to listen. She took special joy in helping younger members of the family with their schoolwork, always offering patience, encouragement, and pride in their achievements.

Kristina found happiness in spending time with the people she loved. She enjoyed camping, discovering new foods, and being surrounded by family during gatherings. Her laughter, warmth, and quiet strength brought comfort and joy to so many, and her presence will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her loving wife, Shayna; her parents, Purita and Benjamin; her siblings, Grace, Paulo, and Joy; and her cherished niece and nephew, Lhyancee and Caleb.
 

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. & Sunday, March 29, 2026, 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Riotto Funeral Home & Cremation Company, 3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd., Jersey City, NJ, 07306. (For GPS it is best to use our parking lot address: 14 Stagg St., additional parking lot located on Kennedy Blvd.). Cremation will be private.

Kristina will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
