Lizette Santiago

Lizette Santiago passed away surrounded by the love of her family on March 10, 2026. She was born on August 25, 1964 in the Bronx, New York to Ada M. Rivera and the late Pedro Rivera Feliciano, who predeceased her on April 28, 1997.

Lizette spent most of her life in Jersey City, New Jersey, where she built a life centered on family, laughter, and the simple joys that meant the most to her. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished daughter, and a caring sister whose presence brought warmth to everyone around her. She enjoyed playing bingo, listening to music, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. Known for being smart, sweet, and a natural jokester, she had a way of making people smile and always kept those around her laughing. Her love for her family was the center of her life.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Jose A. Santiago; her loving mother, Ada M. Rivera; and her three daughters, Elena Coriano, Tania Rivera, and Lucila Santiago. Lizette was also a proud and devoted grandmother to Annalyse, Jayden, Aleanna, Calliope, Levi, and Brandon, all of whom brought her immense happiness. She is also survived by her sister, Wanda Mangual, and her brother, Pedro Rivera, along with many extended family members and friends who will forever treasure her memory.

Visitation is Friday, March 13, 2026 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Riotto Funeral Home & Cremation Company, 3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd. Jersey City, NJ 07306. (For GPS Navigation, it is best to use our parking lot address: 14 Stagg Street).  Cremation is private.  

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to their relatives and friends for the many visits, calls, and support during this difficult time. They are also deeply grateful to the hospital staff at Hackensack Medical Center for their care and compassion. Lizette will be remembered for her love, her humor, and the special bond she shared with her family.

Lizette Santiago falleció rodeada del amor de su familia el 10 de Marzo de 2026. Nació el 25 de Agosto de 1964 en el Bronx, Nueva York, hija de Ada M. Rivera y del difunto Pedro Rivera Feliciano, quien falleció el 28 de Abril de 1997.

Lizette vivió la mayor parte de su vida en Jersey City, Nueva Jersey, donde construyó una vida centrada en su familia, la alegría y los pequeños momentos que más significaban para ella. Fue una esposa amorosa, una madre dedicada, una hija querida y una hermana cariñosa cuya presencia siempre brindaba calidez a quienes la rodeaban.

Disfrutaba jugar bingo, escuchar música y, sobre todo, pasar tiempo con sus nietos. Conocida por ser inteligente, dulce y con un gran sentido del humor, tenía una forma especial de hacer sonreír a los demás y siempre mantenía a quienes la rodeaban riendo. El amor por su familia fue siempre el centro de su vida.

Le sobreviven su amado esposo, José A. Santiago; su querida madre, Ada M. Rivera; y sus tres hijas, Elena Coriano, Tania Rivera y Lucila Santiago. Lizette también fue una orgullosa y dedicada abuela de Annalyse, Jayden, Aleanna, Calliope, Levi y Brandon, quienes le brindaron una inmensa felicidad. También le sobreviven su hermana, Wanda Mangual, y su hermano, Pedro Rivera, junto con muchos familiares y amigos que siempre atesorarán su recuerdo.

La velación se llevará a cabo el viernes 13 de marzo de 2026, de 5:00 PM a 9:00 PM, en Riotto Funeral Home & Cremation Company, ubicado en 3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd., Jersey City, NJ 07306. La familia desea expresar su más sincero agradecimiento a todos sus familiares y amigos por las visitas, llamadas y el apoyo brindado durante este momento tan difícil. Lizette será recordada por su amor, su sentido del humor y el vínculo tan especial que compartía con su familia.
