Lois Ann Belasco

Lois Ann "Lolo, Lola, Mrs. Mick Jagger" Belasco, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 surrounded by family and friends at St. Barnabas Hospital.  Lois was born on May 14, 1938 to Joseph and Rochina Belasco of Jersey City, N.J. Her love for art, culture and the close proximity to New York City kept her a lifelong resident.

She touched the minds and hearts of countless children during her time as a Jersey City Educator.  Lois began her teaching career in 1959 and enjoyed teaching kindergarten at P.S. #30 and P.S. #40 for fifty-one years, before retiring in 2010.

Lois had a great love for life, family, and friends.  Her passion for travel, rock concerts, and Broadway shows led to a well lived life full of happiness that she exuded to all around her. Whether at a family gathering or at one of her favorite eateries, Cafe Bello and Liberty House, she made everyone feel special. 

She will be dearly missed by her siblings Clare (Art) Scornavacca, Joan Belasco Gallagher, and Joseph, Jr. (Ann Marie) Belasco, along with her many adored nieces, nephews, and her many friends.
