Lolade Oladokun

Lolade Oladokun was born to in Bronx, New York, on May 3, 1987. He passed away unexpectedly on June 7, 2024, in Paramus, New Jersey.

Lolade was a vibrant soul, full of life and love, touching the hearts of many. He was a rock for those around him, bringing joy with his humor. Regardless of what transpired between you, if Lolade considered you important, he would stand by your side in times of need. He was much more than a son, brother, uncle, cousin, friend, and wonderful cook; he was also a source of great advice and endless support.

One of Lolade’s many passions was cooking. As a talented cook, he delighted in preparing meals for family and friends. His culinary creations brought joy to those fortunate enough to taste them, often leaving everyone asking how he made them. He believed that food was a way to express love and create lasting memories.

Lolade’s compassion extended beyond humans to animals, with a particular passion for dogs. Over the years, he supported local rescue operations dedicated to animal welfare.

His generosity knew no bounds. Lolade often joined his family in their numerous charitable causes and eventually led initiatives of his own. One of his favorite charities was the American Cancer Society, for which he raised significant funds. The organization frequently reached out to thank him for his outstanding efforts.

Lolade is survived by his mother Mary;  his brother Dayo; his sister Buki, his sister Sade, nephew Jordan, nephew Elijah, as well as extended family. Their grief is shared by all who knew and loved him. May his memory live on in the hearts of those who knew him. Lolade will be greatly missed. 

Visitation is Saturday, June 22nd, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Riotto Funeral Home, 3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd. Jersey City, NJ 07306 (For GPS Navigation, it is best to use our parking lot entrance address: 14 Stagg St., Jersey City).
