Lorene (Helmer) Carbone

Lorene Carbone (nee Helmer), 84, formerly of Boerne, Texas; of Jersey City, New Jersey; entered into eternal rest on Sunday, July 24, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.  Lorene was a lifelong resident of Jersey City.  Mom graduated from Jersey City State University.  Lorene worked as a senior administrator/inventory manager for 30 years, before retiring.  Lorene enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, loved to go antique shopping, and traveling to the Outer Banks and at the Shore with her sisters.  Mom also enjoyed contributing to the Carolina Wild Horse Fund.   Mom was very proud of her Native American heritage, and enjoyed life where Lorene made many memories with her family.  Mom was well known for her large family gatherings.  Her most memorable meals were made during the holidays, especially Thanksgiving.  

Lorene is the beloved mother to Loreen, the late James V., the late Anita (Garry), Debbie (Michael), the late Margaret, Patrick (Ruth), Colleen (Vincent), Michael (Donna), and Nancy (Trish); cherished grandmother to Jennifer, Janine, Keith, Amanda, Lorene, Joan, Anthony, Robert, John, Samantha, Steven, Patrick, Vincent, Michael, and Nicole; adored sister to Colleen, Mary Louise, the late Barbara, the late Fannie, Harry; and is also survived by many loving great-grandchildren.  

Visitation is Thursday, July 28, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Riotto Funeral Home & Cremation Company, 3205 Kennedy Blvd. Jersey City.  (For GPS navigation it is best to use our parking lot address: 14 Stagg Street).  Funeral is Friday, July 29, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the funeral home.  Funeral mass is at 11:00 AM at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church, 122 Ferry St., Jersey City.  Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, 340 Ridge Road, N. Arlington.
