Lorraine D Nisbet, of Jersey City, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025. She was born on September 3, 1946, in Jersey City to Anna and William Cooper.
Lorraine devoted more than twenty five years to serving her community as a Crossing Guard, proudly ensuring the safety of countless children every day. She was known for her bright smile, her friendly personality, and her ability to make people feel welcome.
She loved to write poetry, enjoyed music, and always found joy in dancing. Lorraine had a warm and outgoing spirit, and she brought laughter everywhere she went.
Lorraine is survived by her loving husband, Ronald Nisbet. She leaves behind her daughters KimAnn Nisbet, Kerri and her wife Debbie Nisbet, and Colleen Luongo. She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren Amanda, Thomas, Bryanna, Renee, Steven, Amybeth, Noelle, Ripley, and River, and by her great grandchildren Leah, Lucas, and Miles.
A Memorial Service will be held at Riotto Funeral Home (For GPS, please use our parking lot address: 14 Stagg Street, Jersey City, NJ 07306) on Friday, November 7, 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that any contributions to assist with funeral expenses be made through Venmo @kerri-nisbet.
Lorraine will be remembered for her love, her compassion, and the joy she brought into the lives of others. Her memory will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
