Louis Gerard Faccone (and to many, "Louie the Lupa"), 53, of Colonia, formerly the Marion Section of Jersey City passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2019. A proud businessman and valiant bounty hunter, Louis created and operated the successful Northeast Fugitive Recovery Task Force. This was followed by his Northeast K9 Unit which provides security, drug and bomb canines to assist both NJ & NY law enforcement, as well as several independent businesses.
From his hunt for fugitives to his help for strangers, Louis was both fearless and selfless. A highlight of such characteristics was the devotion and sacrifices he made at the World Trade Center site following the events of 9/11 as he assisted first responders and aided in the rebuild of downtown Manhattan. As even the most unselfish deeds cannot go without retribution, he would receive a cancer diagnosis from these altruistic efforts sixteen years later. Over the numerous months of treatments, Louis was in the care of the doctors and staff of the WTC Fund which provided assistance, guidance and support.
Beloved son of Louise (née Burzi) and the late Joseph Faccone, and proud father of his sons Rocco and Joseph of NJDOC and Jersey City PD, respectively. Loving brother to Joseph, Patricia, Jennifer, Phillip and Louisa. Brother-in-laws Brian Madden and Terry Smith, and sister-in-law Mary Ellen Jordan. Friend and companion, April Harnett. Louis is further survived by his goddaughter Tricia Madden-Kaye and his many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends – in particular his lifelong neighborhood friend, John Nardone.
Friends and family are invited to gather on Friday, November 29, 2019, 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Riotto Funeral Home, 3205 John F. Kennedy Boulevard, Jersey City, NJ 07036 (For GPS use parking lot entrance address at 14 Stagg St). Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 30, 2019, 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Jersey City. Entombment will take place at Holy Cross Mausoleum, North Arlington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to www.policelivesmatterusa.org
