Louise Doren Obituary

Louise Doren (DiBiase) passed away peacefully on December 19, 2025 after a long journey with Alzheimer’s disease. Louise’s life can be encapsulated as dedicated wife, loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend to many. During her ninety years, all that were part of her world were family. Born and raised in Jersey City, she resided in Rutherford for forty years before returning to live her last seven years at Peace Care St Ann’s.

Louise loved to dance, in fact she met the love of her life, Joseph Doren, at a local dance at Saint Lucy’s in Jersey City. They met as teenagers and were married in 1954 at Holy Rosary Church where Louise received each of her sacraments. They were married for 37 years until Joseph’s passing in 1991, but he remained her one and only.  Together they raised three children in a happy home filled with love and laughter. Louise instilled in her children the importance of family, friends, education, tradition, hard work and respect for the less privileged.

A role model for the aforementioned values, while raising her family, Louise was employed at Specialty Products Co. in Jersey City for 30 years rising from secretary to sales manager. At the same time, she returned to school at night to earn her Bachelor of Arts degree from Jersey City State University, a process that took ten years to complete and of which she was very proud, deservedly so.

Louise was predeceased by her parents, Ercole and Vera DiBiase, brother Michael DiBiase and sister Maryann Pawlikowski.

Louise is survived by: her sons Joseph and Michael and daughter Lisa, along with their spouses Liz, Christa & Richard Goglucci; her six grandchildren, Clemenza Goglucci, Alicia Lancaster, Michael Jr., Joseph III, Nicholas and Vincent; five great grandchildren Valentina, Jules, Aila, Gianluca and Vera, along with many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Matriarch of the family, Louise loved family gatherings and bringing everyone together. She also loved to laugh, was a great cook and enjoyed tending to her flower garden during her retirement. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Effervescent, socially conscious, known as the life of the party, lover of music and dancing and truly a “women before her time.” She will be sorely missed by all that knew her.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Peace Care Saint Ann's for their loving care of Louise.
