Marcelle Riebesell

Marcelle Mary Riebesell, 96, of Jersey City, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 12, 2024.

A lifelong resident of Jersey City, Marcy was the embodiment of warmth, selflessness, and grace. She married the love of her life, George, on July 4, 1948, and together they created a loving home and raised their four cherished children. Marcy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great and great-great-grandmother who found her greatest joy in her family.

Marcy will be remembered for her unwavering dedication to her loved ones. She had a talent for making a house feel like a home, finding satisfaction in keeping everything neat and orderly. She delighted in solving puzzles, watching her favorite TV programs, and sharing her quick wit and kind heart with those around her. Always impeccably dressed, she carried herself with a timeless sense of class and elegance.

Marcy was predeceased by her beloved husband, George, in 2005. She is survived by her devoted children: George Riebesell and his wife, Noemi; Denise Keating; Deborah Kaiser and her husband, Edward; and Laurie Komuves and her husband, Cary. She leaves behind her treasured grandchildren: Craig, Noemi, Sean, Travis, Christopher, and Eric; her adored great-grandchildren: Christopher, Alyssa, Gabriel, Ryenn, and Zayn; and her precious great-great-grandchildren: Nicolas, Aiden, and Santino.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 15, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Funeral Home (GPS address: 14 Stagg Street, Jersey City, NJ 07306). Funeral services will take place on Monday, December 16, 2024, at 10:30 AM at the funeral home, followed by an 11:30 AM entombment at Flower Hill Cemetery.
