Marcelo P. Esquibel, 79, of Jersey City, New Jersey, formerly of Zambales, Philippines, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2025. Known for his sweet smile, easy laughter, kind spirit, and love of good conversation, Boy leaves behind a legacy of warmth and family love that will be cherished forever.

He is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Fe, and their daughters Marife, Marilen, Marivic, and Marilou. He was a proud grandfather to Justine, Kevin, Marvin, Renz, Eima, and Zeik, and a caring father-in-law to Bernard, Sam, and Adrian. Marcelo's presence was a source of strength and joy to all who knew him—his life, full of love and laughter, will continue to inspire.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Riotto Funeral Home (Parking location:14 Stagg Street, Jersey City, NJ 07306 ). A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 103 Gould Ave., North Caldwell, NJ 07006.

Marcelo will be laid to rest in the Philippines at a later date—returning home to where his heart has always been.
