Obituary
Maria M. Colon Torres, 88 years of age, "aka Magie," formerly from Morovis, Puerto Rico. Maria entered in to external rest on April 23rd, 2023. At the age of 16, she came to Jersey City and spent her lifetime here. She met the love of her life, Santiago "Chago" Torres. Maria enjoyed hosting family meals. She was very generous, always taking care of everyone and never ask for anything in return.
She will be missed by her family. She was beloved by the late son James Rivera, and she leaves behind 4 children, 9 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.
Visitation is Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Riotto Funeral Home & Cremation Company, 3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd. Jersey City, NJ 07306. (For GPS navigation, it is best to use our parking lot address: 14 Stagg Street). Funeral is 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Funeral mass is at 11:00 AM at St. Aloysius Church, 691 West Side Ave. Jersey City, NJ 07306. Entombment will follow at Holy Name Mausoleum, 823 West Side Ave. Jersey City, NJ 07306.
