Maria (Chiusolo) Prokopenko

Maria (nee Chiusolo) Prokopenko, age 59, of Lyndhurst, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, July 19, 2025.  Maria was a graduate of Christ Hospital's School of Nursing, and was a registered nurse.  Maria was a loving daughter, aunt, and friend; and showed compassion to everyone she surrounded herself with.  

Maria is the beloved wife to the late Gregory; devoted daughter of the late John L. and Lorraine E. Chiusolo (nee Ciser); adored sister to Joseph, Gerard, John, and Anthony, and also the late Lorraine Chiusolo; treasured aunt to Gerard, Lauren, Christopher, Daniella, Johnny, Valisa, Hannah, Anthony, and by many loving great nieces.  She is also survived by her half-siblings, Betty Ann Johnson, John L. and Larry Chiusolo, and their children.  

Visitation is Wednesday, July 23, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Riotto Funeral Home.  (For GPS navigation, it is best to use our parking lot address: 14 Stagg Street).  Funeral mass is 10:30 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 457 Monmouth St, Jersey City, NJ 07302.  Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Road, N. Arlington.
