Marianne Esposito, 72, a lifelong resident of Jersey City passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 6, 2025. She was a dedicated and well respected educator in the Jersey City School District for twenty five years. While teaching at PS #3 and PS #16, her kind and generous spirit touched the hearts of countless students, parents and colleagues.
Marianne is the beloved aunt of Joel and Meredith Esposito, and Nicole and Timothy McMahon. She was a proud great-aunt to John, Abigail, Jack, Seamus and Lorelei.
Marianne was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Grace Esposito; and her brother, John, and sister-in-law, Mary. Marianne is survived by her Uncle Peter Salandra and his wife, Rachael in addition to many loving cousins, dear friends, and caring neighbors. Special thanks to Rosina Salerno and Anthony Montalbano for their tireless dedication to Marianne’s care.
Marianne was a loving and kindhearted person, who truly epitomized the joy of giving. She will be greatly missed by many.
All are invited to join in a visitation on Wednesday, March 12, 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Riotto Funeral Home & Cremation Company, 3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd., Jersey City, NJ 07306 (For GPS Navigation, use parking lot entrance address: 14 Stagg St., Jersey City). The funeral will begin on Thursday, March 13, 2025, 9:00 AM at the funeral home with a Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 AM at St. Aedan's Church, Jersey City and the burial at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.
