Marion Cinyk, of Annandale, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 30, 2026. She was 71 years old.
Born on February 3, 1955, in Jersey City, New Jersey, Marion was raised in the city she always carried close to her heart. Over the years, she lived in Wallington before eventually settling in Annandale, where she made her home for the past 33 years.
Marion was the beloved daughter of the late Petro and Anna Cinyk and the cherished sister of the late Olga Cinyk. She leaves behind a loving family who will forever hold her memory close, including her devoted partner of 32 years, Donald O’Connor; her sisters, Nadija Fedak and her husband Joseph, and Irene Cinyk; and her treasured nieces and nephews, Larissa, Andrea, Sama, Karema, and Ben.
Marion worked for many years at Cognizant in Bridgewater, New Jersey, where she was known for her dedication and quiet strength until her retirement.
She found joy in life’s simple and meaningful pleasures. Marion loved fishing, gardening, cooking, and baking. She adored her cats and enjoyed trips to the casino. She was fun to be around, easygoing, and reserved in a way that made her warmth feel even more genuine. Marion loved to have fun, but what defined her most was her thoughtfulness. She was always thinking of others, always remembering birthdays, and always finding little ways to make people feel special and cared for. She had a truly good heart, and that kindness will be remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Marion’s presence brought comfort, laughter, and love to her family and friends. Though she will be deeply missed, the memories she created and the love she gave so freely will remain a lasting gift to all whose lives she touched.
