Michael M Chokas

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts to announce the passing of Michael "Mike" Chokas, age 69. He entered into eternal peace and rest on Sunday, September 1, 2024. Mike was preceded in death by his parents Connie and Arthur Chokas.

Mike is the beloved brother of Ernest Chokas, who is his twin, brothers Andrew Chokas, Steven Chokas (Kim) and sister Georgia Mangan (Barry). He is also survived by his many loving nieces and nephews.

Mike was a life-long resident of Jersey City, NJ and worked in the Maintenance Department as a Groundskeeper at St. Peter's University. He retired in 2021 after more than 35 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed watching pro-wrestling and loved going on driving excursions.

Visitation is  Saturday, September 7th, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Riotto Funeral Home, 3205 Kennedy Blvd., Jersey City. (For GPS navigation it is best to use our parking lot address: 14 Stagg Street). Cremation is private.
