Nicholas George Lorris February 4, 1946 - July 5, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nicholas George Lorris, who died peacefully with his son in Costa Rica on July 5, 2024. He was 78 years old. Nicholas, also known as Nikos, was born on February 4, 1946, in Jersey City, New Jersey, to the late Anna Kouvel Lorris Dominos and George Lorris.
He proudly served his country, enlisting in the Army in 1965. Nicholas was a member of the 101st Airborne and deployed to Vietnam in 1966 serving honorably with the 1st Cavalry, 2/7the Delta Recon. During his service he was awarded two Purple Hearts. He was a 100% disabled service connected combat wounded Veteran
He is survived by his sister, Irene Howerin, his son, Nicholas Lorris and wife Vanessa Lorris; his daughter Darlene Lorris, and her sons, Danny and AJ; his daughter, Nichole Lorris Caruso and her husband John Caruso III; his granddaughter, Samantha Caruso Trivett and her husband Rudolph Trivett, great-granddaughter Violet Trivett; grandson John Caruso IV and wife Shifra Caruso, great-grandsons Israel, Simcah, and Calev Causo.
Nicholas will be remembered for his service to his country. He lived a life full, touching the hearts of many along the way.
A funeral service with full military honors will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, 1:00 PM at BG William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Rd., Wrightstown, NJ 08562.
