Nichole Angela (Godfrey) Pearson

Known lovingly as “Nikki”

Nichole Angela Pearson, affectionately known as Nikki, was born on March 28, 1978, and passed away peacefully on December 5, 2025. Her life, though far too short, was filled with kindness, generosity, and a joy that left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered.

Nikki was the very definition of cheerful and caring. She had a natural ability to see the bright side of life and encouraged others to do the same. Her warm smile, gentle heart, and uplifting spirit made people feel welcomed, valued, and understood. She loved music, cherished time spent with people she cared about, and believed deeply in spreading positivity and hope.

She was baptized at Hutchinson Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama, where her faith began and served as a quiet source of strength throughout her life.

Nikki is survived by her loving father, Emmett Godfrey Jr.; her brother, Sean Godfrey; her sister-in-law, Christian Godfrey; and her grandmother, Angel Key. She is also lovingly remembered by her uncles Mark Woodhouse, David Key, Rodney Key, Isaac Key, and James Key; her aunts Katrina Thomas, Michelle Thomas, and Cynthia James; and by many nieces and nephews who brought her great pride and joy. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Nelda (Alegria) Godfrey.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Jersey City Medical Center for the compassionate care and dedication shown to Nikki during her treatment.

Private family services will be held in San Angelo, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations in Nikki’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society (https://donate.cancer.org/) , honoring her strength and the hope for a future free from cancer.

Nikki’s legacy lives on in the love she shared, the lives she touched, and the light she brought into the world. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
