Norelis Mendoza

Norelis Mendoza, 32, of Jersey City, passed away on Sunday, Mother's Day, May 14, 2023.

On Saturday May 13, 2023, at approximately 10:22 PM Norelis left her mother's home In Jersey City, expressing her love and that she would see her soon. That was the last time that she was seen by a loved one.

Norelis never returned home and was reported missing the very next day on Sunday, May 14th which was Mother’s Day. The authorities got involved but more importantly it was the help from social media to make our political leaders aware that she was not just a picture of a missing person but she was a real person. A mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend. On Tuesday, May 16th they were able to get a break in her case to find camera footage of where she was during the time of telling her mother bye for the last time and also the person she was with during her last hours and minutes. On Wednesday, May 17th our prayers of bringing Norelis (Nora) home safely ended in tragedy for all. Norelis was found around 11:30am in between the city limits of Jersey City and Bayonne. The family is finding solace that she is now with God. Our beloved Norelis found passion in helping others and dedicated her career to the medical field. Her smile was infectious, She was a beacon of light and would help anyone she could. We are left with her beautiful daughters and will raise them with her legacy of love and kindness. They are one and three years old and need all the love and support they can get. She enjoyed being a mom and did everything for her daughters. During this whole ordeal her daughters have cried for her everyday. This has been a senseless act of violence and her girls have been ripped from having their mom on this earth with them. We are all beyond devastated and suffering. Mother’s Day is a joyous time to celebrate and her girls and family will forever live through the pain of what happened on this day. We are now asking for anyone to help in anyway possible so that the family can take care of her daughters as she would have loved to do herself. We all want to honor her as a mother and carry out the plan she had for her girls.

Norelis is deeply loved , We will not stop protecting, supporting and loving your girls. We won’t stop until we get justice for you. Rest in paradise Beautiful Angel we will take it from here with everyone’s help.

Visitation is Wednesday, May 24, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the funeral home (For GPS, please use our parking lot address: 14 Stagg Street, Jersey City, NJ 07306). Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Arlington Cemetery, Kearny
