Olmedo Benjamin Escobar

Olmedo Benjamin Escobar (Benny) of Jersey City, New Jersey passed away on Monday, April 13th, 2020 at his home. 

He was born to parents Carmen Granda and Isaac Escobar on October 30, 1941 in Manabi, Ecuador, where he later served in the Navy.  He immigrated to the United States and became a citizen on October 8, 1975. 

He is preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Patricia Koch Escobar.  He is survived by his four children Katuzka Escobar and Monica Escobar of Guayaquil, Ecuador, Robert Escobar and his wife Juliet of Glen Allen, Virginia and Karla Uku of Green Brook, New Jersey, and his grandchildren; Carlos Andres, Evan, Olivia, Avery and Mya.

Olmedo was known for his generosity and love towards all who knew him.  We will always carry his memory in our hearts.
