Pacifico Diaz
September 25, 1930 – June 11, 2025
It is with deep love and sorrow that the family of Pacifico Diaz announces his peaceful passing. Born on September 25, 1930, in the Philippines, Pacifico lived a life filled with generosity, laughter, and devotion to his loved ones.
Pacifico was a proud graduate of the prestigious Mapua Institute of Technology, where he earned a degree in Textile Engineering. In 1970, he moved to the United States in pursuit of greater opportunity and went on to build a fulfilling career, working for over 25 years at Merrill Lynch, Jersey City.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Julieta, and his devoted children: Jonathan, and Jocelyn with her husband Steven. He is also lovingly remembered by his caring grandchildren Ceara, Angelina, and Evan, who brought immense joy to his later years. Pacifico is predeceased by his parents, Bernardo and Petra, and by his son Patrick, whom he held dearly in his heart.
Pacifico also leaves behind his brother Tommy, brother-in-law Ricardo, and sister-in-law Corazon, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss his warmth and wit.
He was a proud fan of the New York Mets and found peace in tending to his garden. Known for his intelligence, kindness, and ever-present sense of humor, Pacifico had a gift for making people feel seen, heard, and valued.
Visitation is Monday, June 16, 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Riotto Funeral Home & Cremation Company, 3205 John F. The family extends heartfelt thanks to Jersey City Medical Center, especially the CCU and to the hospice workers who cared for Pacifico with such compassion and dignity in his final days.
He will forever be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, and a friend to all. His legacy of kindness and humor lives on in those who knew and loved him.
