Patrick Marcello Minsberg Pardo

Patrick, the people's person passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023.

He was born in Manila, Philippines, moving to New Jersey in 1982 at the age of 7. His early exposure to lush, sunny island life lay the foundation for his lifetime of seaside getaways in tropical locales, inspiring the poolside parties he enjoyed throwing at his apartment, even purchasing a property in Vieques, Puerto Rico. He later became fascinated with New York City's downtown club culture and art scenes that led to twin loves of house music and the art of Keith Haring. He followed a creative path by graduating BBS with honors from Parsons School of Design.

Throughout his 20-plus-year career in accessories design, he rose to senior positions for Talbots, Coach, Henri Bendel, Ann Taylor, Gap Inc., among others. He forged the most meaningful personal and professional relationships. Outside of design, he founded MPP Selections, an importer of Italian champagnes; dabbled as a nightclub deejay; and most recently, found a love of yoga and boxing. 

He is survived by his beloved mother, Elsa Minsberg Spindler, her husband and step-father, Richard Spindler, of Boca Raton, FL. Brother Christopher Pardo of Madrid, Spain, aunt and uncle, Cynthia M. and Ramon Cuizon, his partner Jon Girson of Jersey City, NJ. His Tita Leonora "Nora" Baldoman,  father Wayne Pardo of Trumbull, CT.  Also survived by many other aunts and uncles, cousins, half- and step-siblings, as well as the old friends with whom he was reconnecting, beloved new friends, and the hundreds of colleagues he considered family. 

Patrick leaves behind his beloved terrier, Timmy, and Olive, a Havanese dog he shared with Jon. He had a lifetime love of animals, and he was devoted to his pets as if they were his children.

Funeral will be held on Monday, January, 23, 2023, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Riotto Funeral Home & Cremation Company, 3205 Kennedy Blvd. Jersey City. (For GPS Navigation, it is best to use our parking lot address: 14 Stagg Street). A 11:30 a.m. funeral mass will follow at St Anne Roman Catholic Church, 3545 John F. Kennedy Blvd, Jersey City, NJ, 07307. Cremation will be Private.
