Ping Kin Lo, age 93, of Jersey City, entered into eternal rest surrounded by his loving family on July 17th, 2024. Ping grew up in a large family in Macau, China. In spite of being deaf and mute since early childhood, in the world of “a quiet place”, Ping developed an innate talent for water painting and photography. The latter became his profession. After marrying his beloved wife, Siu-Han, and with his entrepreneurial spirit, Ping started his own photo studio and was an event photographer in Macau. He was well known for his attention to details, patience and flexibility, passion for his trade, and good people skills.
In the early 80s, to ensure promising future for his children, Ping took a bold move to migrate to the U.S., a land that he was completely unfamiliar with. After a few struggling years of cultural assimilation, Ping started a new chapter working at a brokerage firm in New York City. Through his hard work, all his children went on to college and established successful careers in their respective fields. Each of his sons quickly formed their own families, blessing Ping with four beautiful grandchildren to cherish. Ping was very passionate about his work. He did not retire until he turned 73. Ping was most proud of this phase of his life.
Ping enjoyed spending time with his three young sons on outdoor excursions. He had amassed numerous photos preserving the precious moments with his loved ones. He instilled in his children the value of good work ethics and served as a role model by spending quality time with his family.
Ping is survived by his beloved wife Siu-Han Lei; his sons Denny, Andy and Sai; daughters in law Stephanie, Leonie, and Teuta; grandchildren Ethan, Carmen, Joshua, and Alexander; sisters Wai-Yin Lo Tom, Wai-Lok Lo, Wai-Mei Lo, and Judy Kwan, and friends far and near.
