Providencia Garcia, 82, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 18, 2026, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family.

Born on January 30, 1944, in Río Piedras, Puerto Rico, Providencia carried a deep love for her beautiful island throughout her life. She was grateful to have had the opportunity to return to Puerto Rico and once again experience the beauty of the place she proudly called home.

Providencia was a loving and devoted mother to her children, Belen, Concepcion, Maria, Mariana, Jose, Angel, and Juan, and a cherished mother-in-law to her sons-in-law, and daughter-in- law Her family was the center of her life, and she treasured the time she spent with her many grandchildren and precious great-grandchildren. Each of them held a special place in her heart and brought her tremendous happiness.

A woman of faith, Providencia found peace and comfort through prayer. She also enjoyed going out to eat and discovering different restaurants with those she loved. Among her most cherished companions was her beloved dog, Honeydew, who brought her great comfort, affection, and joy.

Providencia will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her strong faith, and the love she shared so generously. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of her children, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family members, and dear friends.

Though she will be deeply missed, Providencia’s family takes comfort in knowing that her love, prayers, and beautiful spirit will remain with them always.
