Reinaldo Cruz
Sunrise: April 16, 1949 ~ Sunset: April 10, 2026
Reinaldo Cruz, age 76, of North Bergen, entered into eternal rest on Friday, April 10, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Puerto Rico, Reinaldo came to New Jersey at a young age and made a life defined by hard work, laughter, and love for those around him. He worked for many years as a baker, later becoming an assistant to the owner by running errands and collecting payroll. He was known not only for his dedication but for the warmth and kindness he brought wherever he went.
Reinaldo had a wonderful sense of humor and a beautiful smile that could light up any room. He was rarely ever angry and was known instead for his easygoing nature, lively personality, and the joy he found in being with family and friends. He loved music of all kinds, enjoyed entertaining, and treasured every moment spent with the people he loved. He was always willing to help others, and he leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and happy memories.
Family meant everything to Reinaldo. He was one of 12 brothers and sisters, all of whom remained close throughout their lives, a bond made even more special by the love and strength of their wonderful mother, who raised them on her own. He was also deeply loved by his many nieces and nephews, all of whom will miss him dearly.
Among the many cherished memories Reinaldo leaves behind is one lovingly recalled by his nephew Frankie, who will always remember the family story of “the time I poop while holding the refrigerator,” a moment that brought endless laughter and became one of those unforgettable memories they shared with love and joy.
Reinaldo was also deeply grateful for his neighbors, who became like a second family to him over the years. He was loved by many and leaves behind not sorrow alone, but a lifetime of smiles, laughter, music, and togetherness. His family wishes for all who remember him to do so with joy. Reinaldo would want this to be a time to reflect on the happy memories, to smile, to laugh, and to celebrate a life that brought happiness to so many.
Visitation is Saturday, April 18, 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at St. John the Baptist Church, 3206 John F. Kennedy Blvd. Jersey City, NJ 07306. Funeral mass will follow at 11:30 AM. Cremation is private.
